Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies the PATHS Navigation website uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. It complements our Privacy Policy and meets the requirements of the EU ePrivacy Directive and the Swedish Electronic Communications Act (Lagen om elektronisk kommunikation, LEK).

1.What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device so it can remember information between visits. We also use other browser storage technologies (localStorage, sessionStorage), which we treat the same way as cookies for the purpose of this policy.
2.What we use
The PATHS Navigation website uses only strictly necessary storage — nothing else:
- Language preference (
paths-lang, localStorage) — remembers whether you chose English or Swedish. Retention: until you clear your browser storage. - Theme preference (
paths-theme, localStorage) — remembers your light/dark mode choice. Retention: until you clear your browser storage. - Authentication session (Supabase auth cookies/storage) — set only if you sign in (for example to the admin area or the app). Retention: session.
Strictly necessary storage does not require consent under LEK, which is why you do not see a cookie banner on this site.
3.What we do NOT use
We currently use no analytics cookies, no marketing or advertising trackers, and no third-party tracking of any kind. We do not sell data and we do not profile visitors.
4.If this changes
If we ever introduce analytics or other non-essential cookies, we will update this page first and show a consent banner that lets you accept or decline before any such cookie is set.
5.Managing storage in your browser
You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time. Deleting site data will reset your language and theme choices, and sign you out if you were signed in.
